Advice For Any Soon-To-Be-Dads

6 April 2003 11:05

Note to self in the future:

  1. Food goes in the noisy end.
  2. Diapers go on the stinky end.
  3. NEVER EVER get those ends mixed up.
Can't really go wrong there, can it? :P

I Scream, You Scream, We Scream 'SCREAMYX!'

5 April 2003 15:45

So it wasn't exactly two weeks like I expected but it found its way here anyways. I finally got broadband service installed and frankly speaking, I didn't really have too much high expectations on it knowing the kinds of issues that has been plaguing the service of late and also the kind of people that's running the show. But at least I'm paying a fixed fee for unlimited connect time every month now instead of much, much more for measely 70-80 hours per month. (Okaylah! So I'm a geek!)

Looks like there's some major rewiring job to be done with the phone line in this house this weekend. I only realized that the phone line gets splitted downstairs before it reaches the other parts (including my room) of the house, even though it comes in through my room from the pole outside. For DSL to work, the line needs to reach the modem first before it can be routed/splitted to the rest of the phones in the house. Another weekend of my own "home improvement" is in store then.

If The Truth Can Be Told So As To Be Understood, It Will Be Believed

2 April 2003 13:21

Human history represents such a radical break with the natural systems of biological organization that preceded it, that it must be the response to a kind of attractor or dwell point that lies ahead in the temporal dimension. Persistently western religions have integrated into their theologies the notion of a kind of end of the world. And I think that a lot of psychedelic experimentation sort of confirms this intuition. I mean, it isn't going to happen according to any of the scenarios of orthodox religion, but the basic intuition that the universe seeks closure in a kind of Omega point of transcendence is confirmed. It's almost as though this object in hyperspace, glittering in hyperspace, throws off reflections of itself, which actually ricochet into the past, illuminating this mystic, inspiring that saint or visionary, and that out of these fragmentary glimpses of Eternity we can build a kind of a map of not only the past universe and the evolutionary ingression into novelty, but a kind of map of the phuture.

Doin' Away With The French?

1 April 2003 14:49

It just struck my mind today. With American resentment towards the French leaning on the absurd, i.e. renaming French Fries and French Toast to Freedom Fries and Freedom Toast respectively, I hope they haven't forgotten the French Kiss. With all that lip locking, tongue twisting, saliva slobbering kinda action going on, Freedom Kiss doesn't have a nice ring to it, nahmsayin? :P

Quick shout outs that I reckon has been long overdue to these fine ladies who have kindly linked their respective websites to mine:Ati, Lina and Lyna. Be a good boy or girl and give 'em props by visiting them now and tell 'em I sent y'all their way! ;)
